The dreaded fourth list

Here's the fourth list of urls that I've compiled from this blog. Once again, they run the gamut and cover a number of different topics, some disability-related and some not.

While I'm here (in a virtual sense, at least), I thought I'd blog about a story that I find fascinating. The disappearance of bees. A couple of months ago, I came across a news article that stated that bees in the United States were disappearing at an alarming rate. Why is this important and why should we care? Because bees pollinate and, to some extent, our crop yields of various produce are dependent on the efforts of these little guys.

Here's an update from the news this week: Bees in this country are vanishing across 22 different states and no one has an honest clue as to why. Though, apparently, this happened once before in France the 1990's. The cause: a certain pesticide which has now been banned in that country.
