The Feet Give it Away: Type 2 Diabetes

Diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes, is a huge problem in the United States. The number of cases of type 2 diabetes is at an all-time record high and more and more children are being diagnosed with the disease. In fact, it is estimated that some 23 million Americans have type 2 diabetes and nearly one-fourth of those people are left undiagnosed.

The following article talks about the disease and gives warnings signs and things to look for to tell if you may have the type 2 diabetes. The most common signs are numbness, tingling, and burning in the feet and toes, as well as cracked and dry skin on the feet that can lead to infection. Some sufferers of type 2 diabetes are not aware of their issues and cannot tell they have numb feet. Not being aware of this can lead to serious infections.
